NOTE: The prices and rules on this page only apply when I open commission slots to the general public. Commission Process
1. Claim your commission slot.
Depending on the number of slots I decide to open, there will be a lineup or 'queue' of commissions. These slots are NOT first come first serve, as I select commissions based on my interest in the requested subject matter. Slots can only be claimed by paying a nonrefundable deposit of half your commission's full price.
2. Wait for your commission slot to reach the top of the queue.
Once all commission slots have been filled, a queue will form based upon the order in which I received and accepted each commission request. I allocate around 2 - 3 weeks of work time per commission, which means your wait time can be double or triple that depending on how far down you are in the queue. When your commission is accepted, I will let you know where you stand in the current lineup.
3. Commission progress begins.
Once your commission slot reaches the top of my lineup, I will notify you with an email requesting that you pay the rest of your commission's full price. Once the price is paid in full I will begin production of the commission. As previously stated, I allocate around 2 - 4 weeks of work time for each commission unless otherwise stated. During the commission process, you are given THREE opportunities to request changes. These opportunities occur at the following intervals: after sketch/lineart preview delivery, after flat color preview delivery, and after rendering preview delivery.
4. Receive your commission.
Once your commission is finished and all applicable change requests have occurred, I will email you a dropbox link to the illustration in high resolution.jpeg form. If you would like other file types, please request them via email. You are allowed to post the finished piece on social media so long as you credit me in full as the artist and tag me appropriately.

- Once a commission has been finished and delivered to you, H.L. Gibby reserves the right to refuse any commission changes requested, even if you do not like the finished product.
- If you want a commission finished sooner, there is an additional non-negotiable rush fee of $20 to bump you up to the 'priority slot' in my lineup. H.L. Gibby can deny the request to rush any commission. Payment must be made in full and upfront for you to be bumped up in the lineup.
- Contact about commissions and commission progress must ONLY be completed via email. This means email contact only. Communication through other social media is not permitted. H.L. Gibby reserves the right to deny contact through other platforms. Their email is [email protected]
